    Happy Yule!

    2008 - 12.22

It’s start of a new cycle of light! The day will now grow longer and longer each day! It has me thinking of myself and habits and  I need to change them.  In way to help out with this I am going to set some goals for myself and revisit them once a month.

First goal for the year is to drop 250 lbs this an overall long term goal of the year. On a shorter side of this goal i will do weekly goals toward my overall goal I think this will help me not feel overwhelmed by my over all goal.  This weeks goal is to go to gym 3 times and do some stretching every night this week.

Second goal of the year is to save and pay for my wedding. Which we are hoping for the November 1st date. We will be making a decision by the end of January. I am also setting a bi-weekly goal of saving money from my account of min of $50. Of course I will be setting other goals and may mostly likely increase this monetary goal.

Third goal is to get my CCNA cert finished again I will have weekly goals.  To start is to read 2 chapters a week from my books.

Last goal of this year is to work on my photography! I am setting a goal of 35 photos a week to start out with and then edit them to 5 published on my website.

    Wish me luck!

    Cloak Of Winter

    2007 - 12.21

    The life has left,
    left to sleep.
The land begins to become bitter with cold.
On this day a blanket of white shall fall from the sky.
    So let it,
let it put the earth to sleep.
    Let the earth deeply sleep,
for the forth coming renewal of life.
The cloak is seen as death.
Let the solstice become one of life.
    This is a time,
    a time of darkness.
Let the cloak heal all of humanity.
Let the cloak protect us from ourselves.
    The spell is cast!
    Forever the light,
    with hope will shine.

    FELINE FILES OFFICIAL REPORT

    2007 - 12.20

ScampMath is doing well. Lora is doing better. Math is working hard. Lora is looking. Both seem to love each other as much as they love us. We get food and water. Lots of ear scratching. The clutter is leaving for other places and spaces. Leaving room for love and good luck to fill this hearth and home. Sending all of you love and fuzzies.

Happy Holidays and a Fabulous New Year.

    Loving,
    Scamp

PS—Send more catnip. It makes it easier to live with Sassy.

    2007 Feline Files Summary Report

    2007 - 12.11

Winter—After years of living with our human servant … err … companion (must remember our new social sensitivity training) in solitude, she has acquired a new male companion. He seems basically acceptable at this point. His first installation was a magnificent multi-level cardboard and shelving pieces of art. It contained a new variety of hiding spaces and cozy sleeping nooks. He also seems to be amendable to filling our food dishes when ever they seem to be empty.

Although he does need further feline domestic living training, he has an unacceptable habit of scaring the catnip out of me during the nighttime hours by petting or scratching me while I am lurking in the dark or sleeping on the uppermost perches without any difficulty. I have tried fluffing my fur at him and even lowered myself to hissing once. He has a strange immunity to my laser like glare. I have tried to explain this to the female human, but after years of linguistic lessons, she still does not understand basic Meow. I am currently using a suggestion from Feline to Human Social Sensitivity Training Manual and implementing the following tacks:

    • Vocal demands for attention with obstacles between the two of us.
    • Actively ignoring him by walking into a room, eyeballing him, and then displaying my tail in his general direction.
    • Sleep on or play with his pet “mouse”. (Although why they call that plastic thing with an impossibly long tail a mouse, I have no idea. According to our data, a mouse is small furry creature meant to be chased and consumed with a vicious delight.)

At this point he seems more amused than anything. His training will continue. Hopefully we can bring things up to an acceptable level.

Note to Research and Development: Can you please provide samples of catnip to us? We are starting to believe that this substance is completely a myth.
